8 industrial companies are participating in the consortium as well as 12 academic researchers, operating in the short range high data rate communication market.

The consortium participants bring with them considerable experience in the wireless communication field and proven ability in the following disciplines:

• System knowledge and application.
• Integrating different disciplines.
• Signal detection and processing methods.
• Advanced modulation methods and considerable experience in digital communication systems.
• Proven academic – industry cooperation.
• Proven marketing, business and economic ability.

The companies involved are constructing a consortium on a three axis base:

• The first axis is composed of companies developing communication systems – Spectralink, Elbit, Telematics Wireless,
• The second, fabless companies specializing in communication fields – Ceva-DSP, Metalink,
• The third, startups with strong engineering teams of considerable experience and strong orientation toward innovative development –Pulsicom and Wavion.
• The forth axis completes the consortium with RF CMOS and Mixed signal foundry with RFIC IP and design capabilities - Tower Semiconductors.
