ISRC – The Israeli Short Range Consortium

Current worldwide communications developments are characterized by accelerating trends toward higher data transmission rates, efficient spectrum use, coexistence of diverse communication systems operating in the same environment, and growing awareness of radiation risks.  These trends are even more prominent in short range communication systems.

Short range communication systems are thus characterized by many technological challenges posed by transition to very high data transfer rates in channel models (usually within buildings) characterized by multiple reflections.  Coping with such challenges mandates developing new communication technologies and techniques.
